We are writing to you all out of an abundance of caution and for full transparency to let you know that one of our doctors, Dr Pip Gale, is currently on leave. She is isolating at home at the direction of NSW Health because she has been a contact of a positive COVID case. She is well and has no symptoms but has been directed to quarantine for 14 days regardless of the result. Dr Jodi Croft was not present in the clinic on Friday at all, as she was working elsewhere, and is therefore available to continue to care for our patients. Dr Jodi Croft will be covering all of Dr Gale’s patients as well as her own patients as is routine when either is on leave.
On the afternoon of Friday June 18th, a person who has since tested positive for COVID-19 attended our rooms. The rooms are being deep cleaned this weekend overseen by NSW Health. We are also working closely with NSW Health to ensure that all patients and staff that were in the rooms on Friday are cared for. Patients, support people, and staff directly affected have been contacted by NSW Health.
The pandemic overall and current NSW outbreak can create a lot of uncertainty for all of us and we would like to assure you that there will be no compromise on the care that we provide. As we have done throughout the pandemic we will continue to make decisions based on an abundance of caution.
If you have been to a hotspot or you have symptoms no matter how minor please get tested and isolate as per NSW health advice: https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/Infectious/covid-19/Pages/case-locations-and-alerts.aspx.
We hope all those currently positive with the virus remain well and recover swiftly and that we as a community can get back to COVID zero very soon.
